Updates and such for when I set sail on my journey over the high seas.

Well here it is...

Hello all,

I just want to start off by thanking Trish for all of her support, after all I did volunteer for this.

I cannot believe I am actually giving into society's pressure and starting a "blog" of all things. However, I guess it is the easiest way for people to get some real time updates if you want to call them that. For those of you that do not know, I am going to somewhere overseas to what in military jargon is effectively called the "sandbox".

I am unsure totally of when I am leaving, it a broad window from about mid-September to about a month down the road from that. I should be there till around Easter of next year give or take a few days.

So far I have been out in Edmonton for some top notch training since about January 31, 2009. I just recently got home to see my new son on the 21st of June, who's name by the way is Shaun Evan, and if you don't know the last name well, then I accidentally emailed you this link and I don't really know you. :)

Right now I am home for about 2-3 months. working a few shifts at the firehall and burning off my annual leave, which is giving me about 20 some off days off in a row. I know that just made some of you want to vomit, such is the life of a firefighter.

Well at the risk of being a bit long winded, I will end off for now and write some more throughout the summer.

By the way, for any family and friends that would like to see my new clone, he will be on display sometime in August from about the 3rd to the 12th, as this is when I go back to work for 1 shift. All of us will be down at this point.

I will also be in Ottawa with Brayden before that from the 17th to the 21st of July, as I am taking a free VIA train ride for the CF at this time. Thank you VIA!

Write later...

PS Feel free to post things here or there or email me when I am in the box. All correspondence will be actioned as soon as I can get to technology over there. On the right there is a link you can click to "follow" for those that are not too computer savy...dad...and it will keep you in the loop.
