Pictures from my temp home

All this pictures are from the place I am at about 5 minutes flying time from my last location. The story of the hill you see in the pictures goes like this: The Russians buried a mosque under the dirt and forced the locals to haul dirt. It is said that anyone that died while doing this was buried where they layed. When it rains apparently skeletons start falling out of the dirt. They are then buried properly by our guys here, just out of respect.

The next picture is from the goat farm where Canadian soldiers used to keep donkeys to haul their kit when we first arrived in Afghanistan. Apparently some donkeys escaped and were lost or blown up by mines and other UXO(Unexploded Ordinance)

We also were doing a controlled burn and we stood by with our Fire Truck to ensure that the just in case that did happen didn't. The fire jumped to the goat farm so we had to put that out or it wouldn't be too good for the goats.

As you can see in the last picture, the locals hide their faces because they don't like pictures being taken of them for some reason.

It has been pretty productive here. I made some auto extrication cribbing and I also helped build and wire the add on for the gym. I now know you to run wiring and tie it into a circuit breaker! All in all I learned a great deal here and it was well worth coming even as short as it was.
