It's 27 degrees here and nice! I went around today and finished up some of my inspection and installed smoke detectors in some of the infantry boys' living quarters. Saving the lives of the troops one at a time. The life of a firefighter is never done.
I went around camp today, and even though these people have seen nothing but civil war since about the late 70's, the countryside is pretty beautiful. About 800 years ago, Genghis Khan did far worse damage to this country than anyone else has. Even so, there is alot of history and beauty to this place than I ever knew! I know, who would have thought that would come from my mouth?
The wet season should see the dry river bed flowing and making the countryside quite green. This is something I cannot wait to see. Said river bed is the somewhat grey line in the first picture above the camp with the bridge bisecting it.
Take a look at the pictures I have attached and you will see what I mean. To the left in the last picture is a very large pot field marked with orange things around it. I have been trying out my panoramic option on my new camera and you can see the effects in 2 of the 4 pictures I have attached.
